Biblical Counseling & Pastoral Services
Christ-Centered Biblical Care
Restoring Hope Ministries offers Christ-centered care for the whole person, practiced as Relationally Applied Biblical Counseling (RABC) — biblical truth, embodied in relationship and practiced in life. Our care pathways may include biblical counseling, pastoral care, licensed clinical support, recovery groups, church partnership, and — when appropriate and available — neuroscience-informed services such as neurofeedback or Brainspotting provided by properly trained professionals.
We do not believe any method replaces Christ, Scripture, prayer, repentance, community, or the faithful care of the local church. Rather, we seek to steward every appropriate tool in humble submission to God's design for healing. We recognize that the human person must be cared for as embodied, relational, spiritual, and socially situated.
We also deeply respect our licensed colleagues in the helping professions. If RHM is not the right fit for you, we will gladly help connect you to someone who is. What matters most is that you get help.
How Care Works at RHM
Integrated Care Pathways
Every care pathway begins with listening. A case manager or trained intake staff member may first meet with you to understand your needs, current distress, support system, goals, and practical concerns. Some individuals may benefit from a licensed assessment before beginning care. Others may begin with biblical counseling, a recovery group, pastoral support, or referral to a community partner.
Because no two stories are identical, RHM does not offer a one-size-fits-all pathway. We seek to discern care carefully, practice within scope, collaborate when needed, and honor the dignity of each person who comes for help. The pathway follows the person — not the other way around.

Relationally Applied Biblical Counseling
Biblical truth, embodied in relationship and practiced in life.
RABC describes our commitment to biblical counseling that takes Scripture seriously while also taking the person sitting in front of us seriously. We do not want biblical counseling to become simply identifying a problem, locating a Bible verse, and providing an answer. We want to know the person — their story, relationships, suffering, hopes, understanding of God, patterns of responding, and the places where they are struggling to live faithfully.
Relational
Counseling occurs through purposeful, compassionate relationship. We listen carefully, remain curious, seek understanding before assuming, and recognize that presence, compassion, appropriate challenge, honesty, and grace are meaningful parts of biblical care.
Applied
We continually ask, “What does biblical truth look like here?” We move beyond knowing what Scripture says toward exploring how that truth can be practiced in relationships, decisions, habits, suffering, reconciliation, forgiveness, boundaries, worship, and everyday life.
Biblical
Scripture remains foundational to how we understand people, suffering, hope, transformation, relationships, and faithful living. We seek to handle Scripture carefully and contextually rather than using isolated passages as quick answers to complex human experiences.
Counseling
This is intentional care. We seek to understand the person, collaboratively identify concerns and hopes for change, develop a thoughtful biblical understanding of what is occurring, and work toward meaningful transformation.
Our Working Definition
Relationally Applied Biblical Counseling is a Christ-centered approach to biblical care that brings carefully interpreted Scripture into the lived experiences of individuals and families through compassionate, purposeful relationships. Counselors seek to understand each person’s story and patterns of relating, embody truth and grace within appropriate boundaries, and collaboratively develop practical steps toward spiritual formation, relational repair, and faithful living.
We seek to understand the person, not merely identify the problem; embody biblical care, not merely explain it; and help truth become a lived practice, not merely an intellectual agreement.
RABC does not weaken our commitment to Scripture. It asks us to become more careful about how biblical truth is understood, communicated, embodied, and practiced in the context of another person’s life.
Going Deeper with David Powlison
Dr. David Powlison (1949–2019), longtime Executive Director of CCEF, shaped modern biblical counseling toward the very commitments RABC carries: knowing the person, handling Scripture with care, and walking patiently with those who suffer. Watch these short clips to see the approach in practice.
