Christ-Centered Women's Process Group
Facilitated by Summer Murphy, MA · Biblical Counselor, RHM
The Christ-Centered Women's Process Group is a faith-based gathering for women who desire a deeper place of honesty, support, reflection, and growth in the presence of Christ. This is not a secular therapy group. Rather, it is a guided Christian process space facilitated by Biblical Counselors through Restoring Hope Ministries, where women are invited to slow down, be known, and prayerfully attend to what is unfolding in their hearts, relationships, and walk with the Lord.
This group is designed for women who long for a safe and grace-filled setting to speak truthfully about the burdens they carry, the questions they hold, and the places where God may be inviting healing, wisdom, and greater freedom. Together, participants are encouraged to remain present in the here and now, to listen well, to honor one another's stories, and to bring their struggles into the light of Christ.
Our focus is not on surface-level advice or quick fixes. Instead, we aim to make room for meaningful reflection, compassionate presence, biblical truth, and Christ-centered relationship. Women in the group may find themselves exploring themes such as grief, relational pain, identity, loneliness, spiritual growth, difficult emotions, and the challenge of remaining open before God in hard seasons. In this space, lament is welcomed, honesty is honored, and each woman is encouraged to move at a pace that is respectful of her own story and what the Lord may be doing in her life.
Because this is a process-oriented group, the relationships and interactions within the group matter. What arises in the room may become part of the work itself, offering opportunities to practice courage, humility, grace, truth-telling, and Christlike care toward one another.
The group is facilitated by non-licensed Biblical Counselors of Restoring Hope Ministries and is offered as a faith-based ministry support group rather than licensed psychotherapy or mental health treatment.

More Ways We Serve
Beyond counseling, Restoring Hope Ministries is deeply invested in the spiritual and emotional flourishing of our community.
Biblical Counseling, Humility, and the Heart of Christ
At Restoring Hope Ministries, we do not posture ourselves as defenders of a tribe. We exist to bear witness to Jesus Christ in the work of care — and we believe all true helpers, regardless of approach, share that same sacred calling.
"Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth."
1 Corinthians 8:1 (KJV)
The issue is not whether truth matters — it does. The question is whether our handling of truth reflects the character of the One who is Truth.
Scripture as Living Witness
Not merely cited, but received — as a mirror for the counselor first, and a lamp for the path forward.
Humility Before the Soul
The counselor is not the hero. We are fellow pilgrims who have been shown mercy, walking alongside others in theirs.
Unity Over Tribal Debate
We grieve the spirit of contempt among helpers. We believe Christ calls us together, not into camps.
Truth Spoken in Love
Ephesians 4:15 — truthing in love. Not merely saying correct things, but embodying alētheia in a Christlike way.
Our Heart Toward All Helpers
We genuinely respect licensed counselors, therapists, social workers, psychologists, and pastors who carry a heart for people in pain. We do not believe counseling belongs to any one camp.
"Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2)
